Some Things We All Do and Have In Common...

Here are some things that everyone has in common:


1) Everyone has had that awkward moment when they have to watch a sex-scene in a movie with their parents.

2) Everybody hates getting out from their warm paradise of blankety-goodness in the morning, only to enter the frozen Arctic tundra that is the rest of your home.

3) Everybody has that moment of excitement when they see that they have a new Facebook friend request, only to be let down when you click on it and realize it's just that creeper you knew from high school.

4) Everybody has a belly button, and that is really cool. You should look at it right now and thank it for existing.

5) Everybody has tripped and fallen while walking, only to immediately stand up straight and look around to check if there was anybody watching.

6) Everybody has walked into a glass or screen door at least once. This seems to occur more often than not during drunken nights out on a patio.

7) Everybody has had "Insufficient Funds" appear on their keypad when paying debit and immediately felt a sinking sense of shame.

8) Everyone has received a Christmas gift and immediately thought "I will never use this".

9) Everyone has taken their phone out 2 or 3 times to check the time, only to put it back in your pocket and realize that once again, you have no idea what time it is.

10) Everybody hates when they keep running into the same person in the grocery store, aisle after aisle. It's usually that awkward acquaintance you sort of knew from way back and you think, "should I say hi?".

11) Everyone has been walking down a side walk and then deliberately stepped to the side just to land their foot directly on a crunchy-looking leaf.

12) Everybody has shut off the lights in the basement and then ran as quickly as possible up the stairs immediately after.

13) We've all had that moment where we sing and dance like we're alone, only to have someone walk into the room and burst your bubble.

14) Everybody has that moment where they're sitting on a train or bus, side by side with another train or bus, and one starts to move and the other is sitting still, but you aren't sure whether yours is the one moving or not.

15) Everybody loves flipping their pillow over to the cold side when trying to get to sleep.


16) We have all bumped into something and immediately sad "ow!" despite the fact that it didn't hurt you at all.

17) Everybody has had that moment when during a conversation, the other person says something that sounds like song lyrics and you start singing the song in your head.

18) Everybody's been in a public place and thought of a hilarious event that's occurred in the past and then burst out laughing and everyone starts to stare.

19) Everybody has gotten their hair just right, and their outfit looking great, only to go the entire day without seeing anyone of any importance.

20) We've all laughed at someone getting hurt.

21) Everybody's worst fear is someone else checking their internet history.

22) Everybody hates that moment when you've been arguing your point intensely, but then suddenly realize you are undeniably wrong.

23) Everyone has made that one bad decision that has dire consequences but still doesn't regret it because it makes for an awesome story to tell.

24) Everybody has had that moment at work when you just know that you aren't going to accomplish anything productive for the rest of the day.

25) We all have that moment when we just don't know what to say to someone in a conversation.

26) Everyone has felt like a total bad-ass for sneaking their own snacks and drinks into a movie theatre.

27) Everyone has wondered how many times strangers have taken a picture with them in the background, completely unaware that you were being frozen in time in someone else's camera.

28) Everybody can always remember exactly how crayons smell.

29) Everyone has said the same word over and over again until the point where it no longer sounds like a real word.

30) Everyone has a best friend who they can give "the look" to, to signal that someone attractive just walked by.

31) Everybody deletes their entire password after typing only one letter wrong.

32) Everyone has smiled at least once just because they have no idea what is going on.

33) Everyone has laughed at their own joke because they swore it was hilarious, despite the fact that they're the only person laughing.

34) Everyone has had Microsoft Word tell them that they've spelled their last name wrong.

35) Everyone has been watching a horror movie and thought to themselves "I would totally just kick that bad guy's ass".

36) Everyone has been super stoked to be first place in Mario Kart, only to fall off that cliff and then be in twelfth place :'(

37) Everyone has had someone explain something to them more than once, and then pretended to understand it when they really don't, just so they don't look stupid.

We may all believe different things, and most of us take ourselves way too seriously, but underneath all the differences, we're all just a bunch of clumsy, goofy, and uniquely strange human beings who really don't have a clue what is going on half the time anyway.
